January 30, 2011 12:00:00 AM PST
A small plane crashed into a Big Bear home near Mountain View Boulevard, injuring the pilot and one person inside the home.

The Federal Aviation Administration said a twin-engine Piper Comanche crashed into the home just after 7 a.m. Sunday.

That pilot was taken to the hospital and the person in the house received minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. The plane's registered owner is Tower General Contractors Inc.

The plane crashed shortly after it took off from Big Bear Airport. Authorities said the plane struck the roof of the house, which was located on a street next to the airport.

The National Transportation Safety Board is heading up the investigation.
