Laugh Factory offers its comics free therapy

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.

Laugh Factory owner Jamie Masada hopes his stand-up comics will kill on stage at the Hollywood club and then head upstairs for psychotherapy.

Beginning Monday, Masada will offer in-house therapy for comics.

The sessions with a clinical psychologist will be held on a therapy couch once owned by Groucho Marx.

Masada says he feels compelled to help after one comic committed suicide and another overdosed on drugs.

He says he can't stand by to watch his comedy family self-destruct.
