Kids make robot for vision-impaired classmate

MIDLAND, Texas

They invented a robot and programmed it to guide Dante Hall through the maze of hallways at San Jacinto Middle School in Midland, /*Texas*/.

Hall lost his vision after a bad asthma attack several years ago.

"He was just telling us how it's really hard for him to get around with a cane because people jump over it and run in front of it," said student Claire Lancaster.

The school has a robotics class, and that robot has been entered in a state science contest.

"Robotics is a great class, the best class I've ever been in. I've got a lot of people helping me," said Hall.
