1st born kids may suffer more from allergies

LOS ANGELES

In a new study, Japanese researchers looked at parents of more than 13,000 children ages 7 to 15. They found that first born children were more likely to have environmental and food allergies.

In fact, 4 percent of first born kids in the study were diagnosed with food allergies.

The researchers caution that further studies are needed to learn more about how birth order affects allergy risk.
