Detectives were conducting a surveillance operation just before 9:30 p.m. when the suspect took off. The pursuit ended when the suspect crashed into a parked car at Meyer and Carmenita roads.
L.A. County sheriff's deputies found 40 pounds of methamphetamine and 40 pounds of cocaine inside the suspect's car.
The suspect was injured in the crash and taken to a hospital. His name has not been released.
