NJ condo fire leaves 1 critical, 6 families homeless

WESTFIELD

The fire broke out inside the /*Westfield*/ Hamilton House at around 11:45 p.m.

Heavy flames tore through the roof of the two-story condo building.

One man sustained facial and inhalation burns. He was rushed by helicopter to the burn unit at /*St. Barnabas Medical Center*/ in critical condition.

At least a half dozen families were left homeless by the flames.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
