The blast occurred Sunday night on Victory Boulevard between Randi Avenue and Topanga Canyon Boulevard in Granada Hills.
The /*Department of Water and Power*/ said a transformer malfunction triggered the blast.
Power was out for about an hour, but most of the businesses in the area were already closed.
It caused a minor traffic mess because lanes were blocked off during the investigation.
No injuries were reported.
