A 911 call to /*Rialto*/ police prompted the confrontation on the 100 block of North Palm Avenue.
The caller said a man at the address claimed to have a gun and was threatening to shoot someone.
When officers arrived, they saw a man with a brick. He refused to put it down. Investigators said police used a Taser on the suspect, but that was ineffective.
When the man continued to charge at the officers, he was shot twice, according to authorities.
The suspect was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
