For the first time, Dugard is set to tell her story to ABC World News Tonight anchor Diane Sawyer. Sawyer will ask Dugard about her years in captivity, her reunion with her family and her book.
Dugard's story made worldwide headlines. She gave birth to two children during her years in captivity, fathered by captor Phillip Garrido. He and his wife, Nancy, pleaded guilty and received lengthy prison sentences last week: 431 years to life for Phillip Garrido and 36 years to life for his wife.
Sawyer's exclusive interview with Dugard will air next month before the release of her Dugard's book, "A Stolen Life."
