Officers said there were two people in the car. One of them was arrested, but the other fled on foot.
The /*pursuit*/ started at about 2:30 a.m. Friday when police tried to stop the vehicle at Del Amo Boulevard and Studebaker Road in Lakewood.
Officers did not reveal why they were trying to stop the car in the first place.
Police warned residents to keep their doors and windows locked and remain in their homes.
