FDA approves new treatment for wrinkles

LOS ANGELES

The process uses a person's own collagen cells, multiplies them and creates an injectable substance.

In one study, 57 percent of patients reportedly saw an improvement compared to 30 percent who got a placebo treatment. The most common side effects include redness, pain and swelling or bruising at the injection site.

Further studies are needed to see how long the treatment lasts.
