Ventura residents to vote on parking meters

VENTURA, Calif.

The Ventura City Council agreed to put the debate on the November ballot. They also plan to ask a judge if the anti-parking meter initiative is a valid one.

It's been less than a year since some 300 meters were installed in downtown Ventura, costing the city more than $1 million.

Some business owners say the meters chase away customers.
