When the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded, they found one unit on fire.
Firefighters said the family inside had to escape out of a second story window.
The fire was knocked down around 3:30 a.m.
The family, including three small children, was taken to an area hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
