Los Angeles police received a 911 call at about 3:20 a.m. from someone saying a man was stabbing his wife.
Responding officers sealed off an area around Van Nuys Boulevard and DeFoe Avenue in Pacoima, but there was no sign of the suspect. Police eventually broke down the perimeter around 10 a.m., but they said they're doing everything possible to track down the suspect.
Authorities said the victim was taken to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition and was expected to be OK.
A description of the suspect was not immediately available.
