Audi plows into 3 pedestrians in downtown LA hit-and-run

A search is under way for a driver who slammed into three people Sunday in downtown Los Angeles then took off.

Los Angeles Police Department officials said the driver of a gray Audi hit three people at about 2:45 a.m. near 11th and Hill streets.

The driver of the Audi, possibly a 2007 model, hit the three pedestrians and a parked car, and then drove away.

Fortunately, the three victims were not critically injured, but they did suffer scrapes and bruises. They were taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Authorities said the Audi likely has front-end damage from having been involved in the crash. Witnesses did not get a clear look at the license plates.
