Patrol officers in Studio City spotted Barbara Berlin and her grandson Justin Berlin, 21, early Monday morning.
They said Justin Berlin has the mental capacity of an 8-year-old and his grandmother had started showing signs of dementia.
Police said it appears the woman lost her way and spent the entire time driving around.
