The 300-pound bird is made entirely out of orange, yellow and red traffic cones.
It was created by artist Lana Shuttleworth and has been in a Pasadena museum for the last few years.
But on Monday, the chicken was plucked up and moved to its permanent home at the storage yard of the JCL Barricade Company.
JCL provides construction projects, parades and movies with traffic cones.
