The previous company, Norman Bench Advertising, got in some hot water after it started removing some of the city's 6,000 benches when its contract was not renewed, leaving bus riders with no place to sit.
The new company is Florida based but will move its headquarters to L.A. as part of the deal. That agreement says the company will install new benches at the city's 4,000 bus stops.
The city is guaranteed close to $3 million over the life of the contract from advertising on the benches.
The city says anyone who sees a missing bus bench can contact their hotline number at 311.
