TPS students head back to school

Toledo, OH Superintendent Dr. Jerome Pecko proposed the idea last school year as a way to save money and spread the student population out over the district's schools. That means some students are now attending a school closer to their home, cutting down on the need for bussing because many students live within the two mile walking area. For others maybe entering 6th or 7th grade, they could be heading back to their elementary alma mater.
