The on-again-off-again love affair between the handsome mobster and the sexy private eye is definitely on. Actress Kelly Monaco, who plays Sam on the popular daytime show, says the wedding won't disappoint die-hard fans.
"It is daytime television. It's soap operas, and I think you can expect the unexpected," said Monaco.
"We do actually get married, but there's definitely going to be some surprises," said actor Steve Burton, who plays Jason on the show.
"So it's a matter of what, when, where and how and why," added Monaco, adding more mystery to the highly-anticipated wedding. The exact date the pair will be wed has not yet been released.
Monaco and Burton both know fans want exciting storylines and it's important they help deliver them so people keep watching.
"I think it's a scary time in this industry in general. I mean, the economy is the way it is right now and we're certainly affected by it. So we're doing anything and everything we can to make sure daytime stays on the map," said Monaco.
Both Monaco and Burton are welcoming the challenge.
"I'm always in for a challenge so I say keep them coming," said Monaco.
"It's an important time for us here at 'General Hospital' and for soap operas so we've got some great stories ahead and everybody's up for the challenge," said Burton.
For Burton, that challenge may involve a little something extra.
"We're getting him naked. He never, he never, never takes his shirt off," Monaco said.
"I'm 41. No one wants to see that," said Burton.
The Jason and Sam storyline continues to play out on "General Hospital."
