3 gang suspects arrested for Anaheim burglary

IRVINE, Calif.

Garden Grove resident John Uy, 22; La Puente resident Vienai Lin, 29; and Long Beach resident Tony Kingkeo, 27, were arrested in Anaheim after allegedly breaking into a home.

Police believe the three men, and a third suspect still at large, are responsible for a string of burglaries in the northern part of Irvine in recent weeks and possibly dozens countywide in the last two years.

Following two burglaries on Sept. 9 and a suspicious incident on Sept. 13, police identified Uy as a suspect.

Detectives followed Uy and three other suspects in a suspect vehicle on Wednesday as they drove through several residential Irvine neighborhoods, according to police.

The three suspects were arrested after they were observed breaking into a home. A fourth suspect was able to flee on foot. He was described as an Asian man in his 20s, standing approximately 6 feet tall with long black hair, wearing dark pants, a hooded sweatshirt and white tennis shoes.

The three arrested suspects were held at Orange County Jail without bail. Police believe the three are criminal street gang associates.

The investigation was ongoing. Anyone with information about the case should contact the Irvine Police Detective Bureau at (949) 724-7000.
