Tony Hawk raises money for more skate parks

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif.

The Tony Hawk Foundation held a fundraiser in Beverly Hills on Sunday, called "Standup for Skateparks."

Hawk wasn't the only celebrity in attendance. Jamie Lee Curtis, Bill Walton and Shaun White were also there.

The foundation helps fund public skate parks in low-income communities.

"We want to fund more parks obviously, but give bigger grants to parks because right now our biggest grant is $25,000," said Hawk.

"He basically is taking something that has been his passion and his art form and his business and he's giving it all back to these kids. It's fantastic," said Curtis.

Hawk says his next goal is to start building more skate parks in foreign countries.
