The Orange County Sheriff's Department's Harbor Patrol seized the boat overnight.
It was not clear where it was coming from, but the boat was taken to the Seal Beach Weapons Station.
Officials said there were at least 10 illegal immigrants onboard along with the "coyote" trying to smuggle them in.
U.S. Customs and Border Patrol were questioning the smuggler and the undocumented immigrants.
