Police responded to reports of an auto theft on Tapos Street and Los Angeles Avenue around 8:30 a.m. The victim was working in the area when his Dodge truck was taken. The key was left in the ignition but the vehicle was not running.
The vehicle was located by officers a short time later, parked and unoccupied, on the 1700 block of Patricia Avenue.
A surveillance of the area was conducted. Louis Delacruz, 18, was taken into custody along with three juveniles. Authorities believe the group to be members of a local gang.
The recovered vehicle was released to the victim.
Delacruz was booked at East Valley Sheriff's Office. The juveniles were taken to Ventura County Juvenile Hall.
