Calif. DMV rolling out more self-service kiosks

LOS ANGELES

Drivers can use the kiosks to renew licenses and registration and get registration tags. This means you don't have to stand in line for those transactions.

The machines take cash, checks or plastic and have instructions in English and Spanish. On average, customers using the machines are in and out in two minutes

So far, each machine in the Los Angeles area has been processing between 100-200 transactions a day.

Once the state's new kiosks are rolled out, there will be a total of 26 in Southern California.
