Investigators said Brian Marks met the girl on a mobile texting app that is similar to a chat room.
Marks then began an ongoing sexual relationship with the girl, according to police.
He was taken into custody on Tuesday and booked on lewd acts with a child and unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor.
