Anaheim workers ordered to delete city email

ANAHEIM, Calif.

In fact, the employees were told they could face disciplinary action if such emails aren't purged.

The order was reportedly issued just after the request to see planning department communications by an online publication.

Open-government advocates are raising questions about the intent of the order to delete those emails.

But the Anaheim City Attorney's Office says it does not violate state law.
