The park is located in Encino just south of the 101 Freewy.
It was one of dozens of state parks facing closure because of budget cuts.
But a San Fernando Valley resident who wants to remain anonymous, saw news reports and contributed $150,000 to keep the park open for the next year.
Los Encinos was the site of an old rancho: an adobe home built in the 1800s still stands there.
