Beyonce gets rare horse fly named after her

LOS ANGELES

A rare horse fly found in far north Queensland has just been named after the singer, actress and new mom.

Scientists say the fly has golden hairs on its abdomen and what's described as a "bootylicious" behind.

"Bootylicious" was a hit song for Beyonce when she was with Destiny's Child.

The newly named fly was collected in 1981, the same year Beyonce was born. They fly's scientific name is Scaptia beyonceae.
