The high winds have prompted a red flag warning. In the event of a fire, more San Bernardino fire crews than usual are expected to respond.
"Our seasonal grass is somewhat green but our other vegetation is drier than usual, so it wouldn't take much to get a fire established and continue on," said San Bernardino County Fire Batt. Chief Rick McClintock.
Firefighters want everyone to be aware of the dangerous conditions in order to avoid a major incident.
