Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies were sent to a home in the 21800 block of South Vermont Avenue, an unincorporated area near Torrance, about 8:15 p.m.
Officials said a barricade situation developed and about an hour later, they took a 31-year-old man into custody. Deputies said the man was not wearing clothes.
Inside the home, they found two women stabbed dead.
Deputies also found a man with stab wounds. He was rushed to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center for treatment and was listed in stable condition.
The identities of the victims have not been released.
A motive is under investigation.
