The ice cream maker's national free cone day is held every year as a way to thank customers. People who vist a participating "scoop shop" will get a free scoop of their favorite flavor of ice cream or Greek frozen yogurt.
The Ben & Jerry's at The District in Tustin is using the event to promote arthritis awareness. It's accepting donations for the Arthritis Foundation of Orange County.
