There have been protests at several of the cities on the singer's tour, with critics saying Lady Gaga is too provocative for young people.
But in Indonesia, where Muslim extremists have recently stepped up attacks, a hard-line group known as the Islamic Defenders Front has been very vocal and specific about its intentions to stop the show. The group said it has no plans to hurt fans, but will not let Lady Gaga play.
Police had said they would issue the concert permits if the pop star toned down her act. The pop star instead canceled her sold-out "Born This Way Ball" concert. Fans were devastated, despite the promoter's offer of full refunds.
