Orange County couple tries for year of daily Disneyland visits

ANAHEIM, Calif.

Tonya Mickesh and Jeff Reitz, who are annual passholders, were out of work last year when they decided to embark on a quest to visit Disneyland every day in 2012. Sunday was day 183, the halfway mark. The Magic Kingdom marathoners are still going strong.

Even though Mickesh has a full-time job now, she still meets up with Reitz in the evenings. Reitz, a former Air Force firefighter and administrative office worker, said his dream job would be working at Disneyland, but for now - he's happy being a constant visitor.

Disneyland spokesperson Suzi Brown released the following statement Tuesday:

"A visit to Disneyland Resort is all about creating lifelong memories. We are fortunate to have such ardent fans and happy to be such an important part of Tonya and Jeff's lives."

Disney is the parent company of ABC7.
