Santa Clarita child annoyance suspect sought; sketch released

Authorities released this composite sketch of a suspect wanted in connection to two child annoyance incidents in Santa Clarita.

Police are searching for a man possibly linked to two child annoyance incidents in the Santa Clarita area.

One incident happened on Monday at Old Orchard Park on the 23500 block of Lyons Avenue. According to officials, a girl was approached by a man who said her parents had sent him to pick her up.

A second incident happened on Oct. 5 on Orchard Village Road and Wiley Canyon Road. In that case, the suspect walked up to a girl and asked her if she wanted some ice cream.

Both girls, ages 10 and 14, got away and were not hurt. Authorities said the same suspect may be involved in both cases.

The man is between 5 feet, 5 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs between 150 and 180 pounds. Anyone with information was asked to contact Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Special Victims Bureau at (877) 710-5273.
