The masked suspect walked into a Shell gas station Monday on Indio Boulevard and First Street, tied a rope to the machine inside the store, attached it to his pickup truck and drove off.
The ATM was pulled from the wall and dragged through the front door and into the parking lot.
Police have not disclosed how much the thief got away with.
