Police say the suspect was being served with a warrant on an unspecified felony charge at about 7 a.m. when he barricaded himself in a house on Gilman Road south of Ramona Boulevard. A SWAT team responded to the house.
The suspect's name was not been released. Nearby La Primaria Elementary went on voluntary lockdown as a precaution. Students were dismissed at their normal time.
The suspect was finally taken into custody late in the afternoon. Details on his arrest were not immediately available.
