Due to the heightened threat of fires, the National Weather Service said the warnings would be in effect from 7 p.m. Sunday through 4 p.m. Monday.

Some areas could receive gusts of up to 40 mph. Temps were expected to reach the mid-90s in the Los Angeles, Orange County, valley and Inland Empire areas Monday, before a big drop on Thursday.
The hot weather, low humidity and Santa Ana winds raise the risk for brush fires, and residents say they are worried.
"It definitely concerns me. I'm scared of fires. I obviously don't want that to happen," said Malibu resident Jacinta Ducreay.
