Bradley Cooper talks 'Silver Linings Playbook' Oscars nod

HOLLYWOOD

"The fact that it was nominated for four acting awards and editing and directing, the Academy really has acknowledged the film. I'm really proud of it," he said.

Cooper first garnered our attention on the television series, "Alias." Since then, his career has skyrocketed.

"I think I'm realizing it as it's happening," he said. "I don't think I realized how much people didn't even think I was an actor before this movie. It's like these weird back handed compliments, like, 'oh the guy from "The Hangover,"' maybe I had a delusion that I was an actor."

Cooper's mother will be on the red carpet for her son's big night.

"She's a force, let me tell you. Don't mess with her. She's Italian from south Philly, no filter. It's going to be an interesting red carpet, I'll just say that," he said.
