8 Riverside schools to get security upgrade

RIVERSIDE, Calif.

The campuses getting upgrades include Jefferson, John Adams, Alcott and Andrew Jackson elementary schools, as well as John W. North High School.

New fences and gates will be installed at an estimated cost of about $1.5 million. The money is expected to come from construction bonds.

The upgrades are intended to stop anyone from leaving or entering campus without going through the office during school hours.
