Police did not say who made the discovery. Authorities say the body is that of a 48-year-old man, and he was found in a dirt area next to an abandoned building in the 66000 block Hummingbird Road.
An autopsy to determine the cause of death was pending.
The man's identity is being withheld until family members are notified.
