Authorities say the crash happened just past Basilone Road just after 7 a.m. At one point, all southbound lanes were closed, backing up traffic for six miles.
It took crews more than three hours to clean up the mangled debris, CHP Officer Mike Martinez said
Three lanes have since reopened to traffic. No serious injuries were reported.
