Vehicle slams into Anaheim fire hydrant; driver sought

Authorities are asking for the public's help in locating a driver who slammed into a fire hydrant in Anaheim and fled the scene. The crash sent water soaring into the air.

The collision was reported around 2:30 a.m. Saturday at Sunkist Street and Puritan Drive.

Anaheim police say they don't have a description of the driver or the vehicle. No witnesses have come forward.

It took firefighters about 30 minutes to turn off the water.
