Brown did not appear in court Thursday. The judge in the case said a "civil compromise" had been reached in the May 21 accident.
The motorist involved in the accident agreed to the deal because she was reportedly being "castigated" on social media.
A deputy city attorney objected to the deal, but he said no money exchanged hands between Brown and the other party.
The incident could have been ruled as a probation violation for Brown, who remains on probation for the assault of then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. The singer could have faced up to a year in jail.
