Authorities say they arrived in the area of Garden Grove Boulevard and Court Street around 7:20 p.m. to investigate a report of unknown trouble and discovered the body.
Deputies say a potential suspect has been detained, and the death is being investigated as a possible homicide.
"Based on the witness statements that deputies received and evidence that was located when they arrived, homicide investigators were contacted, and the investigation was initiated as a possible homicide," said Lt. Jeff Hallock with the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
A cause of death was not immediately clear.
