The Simi Valley Unifed School District board voted 4 to 1 to close the school. All 240 students and teachers will transfer to Mountain View Elementary on Feb. 18.
"It's very, very, very, very sad and frustrating. It's very traumatic for the children to have to move schools and lose their comfort zone," said parent Shanna Foster.
Mountain View Elementary is located a little more than two miles away from Simi Elementary School.
