Santa Monica to spend over $100K to ID buildings for retrofit

SANTA MONICA, Calif.

The survey is expected to cover hundreds of structures, including office towers, older concrete buildings and wood multi-story apartments. Vulnerable buildings will be required to undergo seismic retrofitting.

Los Angeles is considering doing similar surveys.
