Authorities say the confrontation happened in the 15500 block of Ruthelen Avenue at 12:20 p.m. Officers were investigating a burglary call in the residential neighborhood.
When officers arrived, they spotted a red vehicle speeding away. The vehicle collided with a police vehicle. One suspect fled on foot into a backyard, and then an officer-involved shooting occurred. The male suspect was taken to a local hospital in unknown condition.
It's unclear what led up to the officer-involved shooting. No officers were injured in the shooting.
