Los Angeles drivers are expected to face closures on the 405 Freeway in West Los Angeles this week for construction workers to re-stripe the lanes.

Northbound lanes of the freeway between the 10 Freeway and Santa Monica Boulevard will be closed overnight Monday and Tuesday.

Ramps will close as early as 7 p.m. each night, with lanes beginning to be blocked at 10 p.m. The full northbound freeway stretch will be closed from midnight to about 5 a.m. each night.

The 10 Freeway connector ramps to the 405 Freeway will be closed, along with the northbound onramp from Olympic/Pico boulevards at Cotner Avenue.

The I-405 Sepulveda Pass Improvements Project is expected to be completed in mid-2014 and will add a 10-mile carpool lane to the freeway, widen underpasses and replace bridges.
