The incident occurred at Vineland Avenue and Lankershim Boulevard at 1:27 a.m.
During the later investigation, Los Angeles Police Department officials learned the driver was driving a stolen white 2011 Toyota Corolla.
The discovery was made after a driver followed the car and was able to record the license plate number 6RTZ921.
The 35-year-old victim was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
